Flying B was planted in 2006 using certified plant stock from Inland Desert Nursery. It’s a picturesque site with stunning views of the Blue Mountains to the East and The Horse Heaven Hills to the North West, as well as the rolling hills of the surrounding farmland to the West and South. The 53-acre vineyard rests atop a bluff at 800’ overlooking the Umatilla River and the historic small town of Echo, Oregon. Vines are trained to a VSP trellis system; soils are a Sandy Loam irrigated by a drip and micro-sprinkler dual system. Presently there are 30 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 acres of Cab Franc, 5 acres of Merlot, 4 acres of Syrah, and 1 acre of Muscat Canelli. In 2008 1.8 acres of Petit Verdot was added. Flying B is certified L.I.V.E. and Salmon Safe. In the fall of 2008 Lily Analise Vineyard was planted. 3 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 acre of Sangiovese, 1 acre of Tempranillo and 1 acre of Malbec
